"I became acquainted with
CIM and Ken Lomax when I received an invitation to a seminar about effective churches that was to be held for 8 weeks on Tuesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. in Abilene, TX. It was early, but since they promised breakfast, I went. As a pastor, I am always looking for ways to inspire folks to do ministry. Although I was not the only female present, I was the only female pastor. It was refreshing to me to find so many people from so many backgrounds
willing to come together early in the morning to openly discuss evangelism and ministry. I was also appreciative, and relieved, at how genuinely I was accepted and listened to by people whose faith traditions prohibited women from serving as pastors. I thank Ken for his leadership in this."
"After that seminar, I continued to talk with Ken and eventually had him and his team come to present some of the same material in a 1-day seminar held for churches in my area (Sweetwater, TX). All of the churches, no matter the denomination, were invited to participate. Ken and his team did a wonderful job, and from that, members of my congregation formed a Vision Team and began planning to do ministry in the community, something they had not been doing up to that point."
"As a result, new life emerged in a stagnate, dying congregation. Members began inviting people to church. Flyers were sent out to our target neighborhood and visitors started showing up. A once-a-week summer ministry to the children in the two apartment complexes next door was begun. There was new enthusiasm within the members that spilled over into mission and evangelism. I have moved on, but the life that was begun because of the ministry of Ken Lomax and
CIM continues, and the congregation is flourishing under new pastoral leadership. I thank God for people who are willing to give sacrificially to do what God has called them to do. Ken and I have continued to be friends through e-mail since I now live in another state. He continues to be a source of inspiration and encouragement
to me in my pastoral ministry."

"
Continuous Improvement Ministries assisted our church in advancing the Kingdom of God by providing direction.
CIM helped us get focused on what God is
currently doing in our church and where we feel He wants us to go.
CIM established a process where our meetings, work ethic and time management was utilized more efficiently. Any church that is at a cross-road of discerning God's direction would benefit greatly from
CIM."

"On behalf of the congregation of Bethel Temple Christian Center and myself, I want to express our appreciation for your expertise in the area of church consulting.
Continuous Improvement Ministries conducted itself in a very professional manner, yet with a gentle nature during the recent church-wide assessment. One of the things that impressed us the most was your sensitivity to the Spirit of God and the spirit of our congregation. In addition, the follow-up meetings you and your staff have held with our long-range planning team have been tremendous!
May Gods extravagant blessings be with
you and your dedicated team of co-laborers for Gods
Kingdom."

"
Continuous Improvement Ministries successfully led our congregation in an assessment of our purpose and effectiveness as a church. Through a biblical approach, [Dr.] Lomax and his associates led our church in an assessment of the overall sense of satisfaction felt by the congregation, helped us identify our ministry strengths and areas of opportunity for improvement, and helped our leaders develop and implement an improvement strategy that would allow us to fulfill our purpose as a church. As a result of
Continuous Improvement Ministries evaluation, Fourteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Sacramento, California, has seen spiritual and numerical growth. I not only recommend Ken Lomax and his consulting group, but I strongly encourage churches to take advantage of his expertise in evaluating a church's effectiveness...."

"
Continuous Improvement Ministries helped us to understand where to make adjustments in our organization and how to implement changes that would bring our church into closer fellowship. It was a tough exercise in self-evaluation, but it has paid rich dividends. Every church needs this kind of self-study from time to time."

"We have had good results from the assessment process in our church. We are going to present the goals, mission statements and so forth June 17 [1998] at the business meeting. Our Lay Renewal Weekend was a great success and we have had new families join and young people give their life to Christ. Our music program has improved and our Bible study and outreach will be improving too. Thank you and your team for leadership in this area."
